Scudo Sales & Operations Manager

SCUDO, a family SME established in Italy, partnered by 2 leading companies in the bakery business, operates in the design and construction of Mixing Dough Solutions. As an international player, SCUDO wants to achieve a leading role in the specific dough processing market segment.

Your job

As SCUDO’s Sales & Operations Manager, you are responsible for developing the market as well as running the growing business of the company. It will be your objective to scale up this young and innovative company by growing in business and by investing in the people. Your focus will be both commercial and operational.

Commercial

  • You are responsible for developing SCUDO’s activities and presence in the market in function of our core business. You develop an international network and search for related and new markets and identify rising business opportunities within the bakery and related dough processing market.
  • You prospect the market, clearly identify potential customers and provide added value for the customer by introducing, promoting and selling SCUDO solutions. You develop a long term relationship with key customers and you involve the SCUDO staff, so that your network is spread within the organization.
  • You analyse the different requests of customers and pass the approved ones on to the Sales Support team so that the appropriate concept can be defined in order to prepare the proposal.
  • You determine a marketing strategy and you propose marketing initiatives in cooperation with the Marketing team to enhance SCUDO’s visibility in the market.
  • You are a member of the SCUDO Management and together you point out the corporate strategy. You prepare a strategic annual plan on the basis of the needs and developments in the market and discuss this with your colleague executives, so that you can take the appropriate decisions.

Operational

  • You are responsible for implementing structured and uniform policies. You provide direction and guidance to the SCUDO team.
  • You are motivated to empower and coach your SCUDO team and attract new talent to contribute to the company’s growth strategy.
  • You perform efficient finance management and monitor the revenue of the business unit.
  • You will coordinate with the other teams of Spiromatic and Sigma, for supporting the activities within your business unit.
  • You set up the business unit’s strategy and communicate the vision, in line with the corporate vison and goals.

Your profile

  • You hold a Master’s degree in Industrial Sciences, Electromechanics or Engineering sciences (civil engineer). Or you hold a Master in Business Engineering (economics) or similar.
  • You have at least five years of relevant experience in Sales/Business Development/General Management, within a technically challenging environment. You have knowledge of the bakery and related dough processing market.
  • You have strong organizational and people skills and you think and act with a strong customer-orientation. You are able to evaluate results in order to make the best decision and you are able to prioritize well.
  • Your thinking is pro-active and solution-oriented. You are able to encourage and build team spirit, and you have strong managerial and leadership skills.
  • You are strong in terms of communication, speaking different languages is a plus.
